Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Shaggy von Sebnitz is a stunning 2 year old German Shepherd mix with maybe a touch of a Nordic breed! Shaggy has an undaunting spirit. He came to Westside as a puppy with a back injury. After a $10,000 surgery, he has full quality but still a little wobbly, so we consider him special needs. He doesn’t consider himself needing anything special, just some open ground so he can run, jump and hop and go after rabbits or any critters. Shaggy does need secure fencing! He would love to have a big female dog in his family, he could play all day and then some! He is housebroken and has good house manners. He needs a calm assertive owner so he knows he is fine and won’t get anxious. Shaggy has such a passionate soul; when he saw one of the volunteers he loved, he shook with excitemen. You just have to love his spirit and his fight to carry on and enjoy life.
